Car Accident In 2022

On the morning of December 30, 2022, Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was involved in a car accident while driving from Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee in Uttarakhand. The accident occurred at around 5:30 am when Pant’s car hit the divider of the road, flipped over, and caught fire. Fortunately, he was rescued by an employee of Haryana Roadways, Sushil Kumar, who was driving a passenger bus on the opposite side of the road at the time of the accident. Sushil, along with the bus conductor Paramjeet and a few other passersby, rushed to help Pant out of his car, which had landed on the wrong side of the road. Despite the car being on fire, they managed to get Pant to safety.

Pant, aged 25 at the time, sustained multiple injuries in the accident but was taken to a local hospital, Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre, for initial treatment. MRI scans conducted on his brain and spine revealed no abnormalities, and his condition was reported as stable. However, further scans on his ankle and knee were postponed due to pain and swelling.

Pant, who was not part of the Indian squads for the T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka in January 2023, was initially expected to undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru before the Test series against Australia in February. His well-being and recovery have been a matter of concern for cricket fans, but he was fortunate to receive prompt assistance from the individuals who helped him after the accident.

After his car accident, Rishabh Pant underwent surgery in Mumbai under the care of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala in February 2023. Debut In Cricket
